LUNGAROTTIThe wine is a blend of 60% Sangiovese, 25% Merlot and 15% Sagrantino, which is the main local indigenous variety with a fame of being the most tannic red grape in Italy. It shows deep ruby colour with a hint of purple reflection. The nose is quite intense and complex with ripe red cherries, strawberry jam, red plum, citrus peel and some underbrush and oak spices (cinnamon and nutmeg). The palate is a bit tight at the beginning but starts to show roundness with some airing in the glass. It is full-bodied balanced by bright acidity and mouth-coating tannins with a bit of chalkiness. This finish is medium plus with ripe berry fruits, dark chocolate and a bit of bitter citrus and quinine sensation. This is a wine needs a couple of decanting before serving and has a medium level of ageing potential for 5-8 years.
此酒以60% 桑嬌維塞、25%梅洛和15% 薩格蘭蒂諾葡萄混釀而成,而薩格蘭蒂諾正是當地原生葡萄的主力,是擁有最強單寧的意大利葡萄品種。此酒呈深紅寶石色並稍帶紫色。其香氣頗為集中、複雜,帶有成熟的紅櫻桃、草莓醬、紅布冧、橙皮和些許灌木及木桶香料(肉桂和豆蔻)。剛開始,其口感比較緊致,但隨著在杯中的透氣而逐漸舒展,圓潤。其飽滿的酒體由亮麗的酸度和充滿口腔的單寧所平衡,單寧帶些粉狀的質地。此酒餘韻中上,成熟的莓類果實、黑朱古力和一點苦橙和奎寧的風味相互交織。此酒需一兩個小時的醒酒時間,並具備五到八年的中等陳年能力。
