Ruby red color, violet reflex, brilliant. The nose is intense and expressive, in foreground the fruity part, where the hints of smell of red fruit like blackcurrant and blueberry stand out associated with punctuated floral notes tending to lilac and geranium. Definitely complex and round on the palate, great acidity accompanied by present and smooth tannins but not intrusive, well-structured body and an integrated alcohol. This wine is the perfect accompaniment to white and red meat dishes. Volpolo is an engaging wine, simple but at the same time refined, exemplary as regards the possibility of representing the territory and the Bolgheri “Terroir”. In its small way, a wine with an incredible aging potential.
