VIBERTI TIMORASSO DERTHONA 2021 (750ml)

The latest addition at Viberti is the Timorasso, a noble white grape variety from the area between Alessandria and Tortona in Piedmont. This variety has a unique aromatic and taste profile that becomes even more pronounced with age, making it one of the most sought-after Italian white wines today. The vineyards are located in the Derthona area near Monleale, which is considered the best due to its mineral-rich soils and hilly microclimate. With a limited production of 5,500 bottles, the grapes are transported in 20 kg crates inside isothermal cells to the winery, where they undergo a gentle pressing to extract only the finest part of the must, followed by cold maceration in steel tanks and aging on the lees for several months before bottling. The result is a delightful wine with floral and citrus notes, showing a tense and oily character with excellent freshness and a final touch of salinity. A few years of aging will bring remarkable experiences.
